The January Book

A gentle planning and review process for people who want a life that feels good, not just productive.

  • This is not a hustle-y goal setting workbook.

  • It is not about fixing yourself.

  • And it is definitely not about setting goals you secretly dread.

The January Book is a calm, kind way to reflect on where you are, honour what has shaped you, and plan what comes next with clarity and heart.

Where this came from

This planning process is something my husband and I created 15 years ago, simply because we needed a better way.

Over a decade of trial and error, we refined it into a system that genuinely works. One that balances big dreaming with practical planning. One that leaves you feeling grounded rather than overwhelmed. One that adapts as life changes, because life always does.

For years, I ran the January Book as a guided experience. It has been used by hundreds of people and returned to again and again.

After a long pause, I am bringing it back in a self paced format, due to repeated requests from people who wanted to work through it in their own time, at their own pace.

It has become integral to the happiness of, well… everything.

I am deeply proud of this process. It is rooted in radical kindness. It harnesses the power of our feelings. And it gives you a structure without boxing you in.

Who this is for

This is for you if:

  • You want goals that feel supportive, not punishing

  • You are tired of rigid systems that fall apart by February

  • You crave clarity but need flexibility

  • You want to reflect without spiralling into self criticism

  • You like structure, but only when it is gentle and human

If you have ever felt like traditional planners were built for someone with more energy, more certainty, or fewer feelings, you are in exactly the right place.

What makes the January Book different

This process:

  • Starts with reflection, not pressure

  • Makes space for feelings, not just outcomes

  • Encourages dreaming without disconnecting from real life

  • Helps you plan in a way that actually fits your capacity

  • Is completely adaptable. You choose how deeply you go

It is planning with heart.
Structure with softness.
Goals that feel like invitations rather than threats.

How to use it

You can complete the January Book in a single quiet weekend, or return to it slowly over time.
You can revisit it every January, or whenever life shifts and you need to recalibrate.

Many people come back to this process year after year, because it grows with them.

A final note

You do not need more discipline.
You do not need harsher goals.
You do not need to try harder.

You need a process that respects your humanity.

That is what the January Book offers.

If you are ready to plan in a way that feels kind, meaningful, and genuinely supportive, you are very welcome here.
